Although the 3 and 4 series Yamahas have more silver, they have a very basic beginners' mechanism. This M85 mechanism is much more advanced, and gives you much more control and scope in your playing. This flute will therefore take you further down the road, and has a much fuller, rounded Muramatsu tone.
