Top of the range GiBu Solid Silver, handmade flute, solely for the Japanese market.
Solid Silver throughout, including the mechanism. This flute is basically the direct competition for the Muramatsu DS, which sell in pre-owned condition for around £5500.
Headjoint designed and finished by Yoshiteru Akiyama, considered to be the leading Japanese headjoint designer and maker. The later HANDMADE models were based on this headjoint, but not under the supervision of Akiyama.
The highest grade flute in the Gibu range:
SL = Silver LIP
SH = Silver HEAD
ST = Silver Head, Body & Foot
Solid Silver = Silver Head, Body & Foot and Mechanism.
The GiBu models (in good condition) have appreciated in value, which is rare for a flute. They are often considered to be the best model that Miyazawa have manufactured, before going into more mass production, for the oversees market.
This flute is in stunning condition, barely used, and the pads are in very good condition. Immaculate case. E facilitator (removing need for Split E mechanism).
The second photo is a video of this flute.
Miyazawa GiBu Solid Silver
For flutes in this price range, they offer tonal control, and smooth projection, with a depth that is only matched by current DS type of models, in anything under £6000 in pristine condition.
